Lindsay Cole and Suzanne Andrews each had impressive performances on the track to lead the Tigers at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Weaver Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Andrews ran the 800 meters in 2:20.60, taking the race by nearly two seconds over Temple's Shanice DePass. Cole won impressively in the 1,500 meters, finishing in 4:48.67, nearly 10 seconds better than the second-place time.
The Tigers also had a terrific 4X100 meter relay, defeating teams from Temple and St. Joseph's. Leanne Bellar, Laura Landry, Jordan Wagenseller and Agatha Offorjebe ran the 400 meters in 48.60 seconds.
Princeton also got a victory in the field events in the hammer throw at Broadmead Field. Laura Okpala's toss of 42.72 meters, more than 140 feet, was good for first place. Teammates Emma Harper and Kelly Ochoa were second and third in that event.
