PHILADELPHIA - Senior Frank Macreery ran yet another great time in his specialty, the 5,000 meters, on Thursday night at the Penn Relays to finish in third place in the Championship of America race at Franklin Field.
Macreery finished the 12 1/2 laps around the track in 14 minutes, 4.70 seconds. His time trailed only two runners from Liberty University--brother Josh and Jordan McDougal, who ran 13:56 and 14:04 respectively.
Macreery has already qualified for the NCAA championships in the 10,000 meters thanks to a performance at the Mt. SAC Relays earlier this month in California.
Princeton will have 10 athletes participate in six events at the Penn Relays on Friday, beginning with Alex Willis in the high jump at 10 a.m.
