Open Women Sweep Field To Complete Program's First 14-Win Season

PRINCETON - The Princeton open women completed the program's first ever 14-win season and ran its win streak to 36 straight races by sweeping a field of Tennessee, Massachusetts and George Washington Saturday afternoon. Princeton won four of five races, including a 22-second victory in the first varsity competition.
The No. 1 Princeton first varsity completed its second straight perfect season by finishing in 6:44.7, while No. 20 Tennessee placed second in 7:06.7. Princeton won three of the other four races, including another victory for the terrific first novice squad. Tennessee claimed a two-second win in the second varsity.
Princeton ends its regular season 14-0 and will now focus on two postseason competitions, both in New Jersey. First up will be the Eastern Sprints, which will come in two weekends on Cooper River in Camden, N.J.
