Probst Finishes Third in Javelin at IC4A's

Josh Probst broke the 65-meter mark with a javelin throw of 213 feet, 10 inches, finishing in third place in a field of 25 at the 2006 IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Weaver Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Probst was one of two top 10 finishers for the Tigers on the final day of the three-day meet. Alex Willis was the sixth-place finisher in the high jump. He was the first competitor to clear 6 feet, 8 1/4 inches (2.04 meters).
As a team, Princeton finished in 12th place in the event with a total of 25 points through the 22 scored events. George Mason won the event with 59 points, followed by second-place Cornell and third-place Penn.
Also on Sunday, Princeton's 4X800 relay team of Eric Beights, Mike Kowal, Collin Plummer and Kurt Kuehne finished ninth in the final of that race, finishing the eight laps in 7:44.37.
