Women's Volleyball Routs Rider To Claim Home-Opening Win

The Princeton women's volleyball team improved to 2-2 overall by sweeping Rider 3-0 in the home opener at Dillon Gym. The Tigers, who hit a season-best .405 for the match, were led by a pair of All-Ivy juniors. Both Parker Henritze and Lindsey Ensign recorded 14 kills apiece for the Tigers, who got at least one kill from 10 different players.
The Tigers, who went 1-2 at the Syracuse Tournament against a trio of teams who had played two full weekends already, jumped out immediately against the Broncs. Princeton hit a match-best .565 in the first game to grab a 30-14 win, which went from a comfortable lead to a rout when Bailey Robinson served a 9-0 run for the home team. The Tigers finished the match with 30-20 and 30-19 victories.
Ensign recorded 14 kills in 18 swings and recorded a .667 attack percentage. Henritze also had 14 kills and recorded four digs and two assisted blocks. Robinson led the team with 38 assists and added a team-best six digs, while senior Emily Turner also recorded six digs. Junior Jessica Hoffman had five kills and hit .571 in the victory.
Princeton will compete at the Villanova Tournament this weekend.
