Women's Cross Country Moves Up in National Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/1/08) ? The Princeton University women's cross country team is ranked for the second week in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll, it was announced by the organization on Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The Tigers moved up one slot to No. 6 this week after a stellar performance at the annual H-Y-P on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Princeton received 291 points in the poll that ranks the top 30 Division I programs.
The squad is still No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic regional poll, followed by West Virginia, Georgetown, Penn State and Villanova.
Princeton will run at both the Paul Short Invitational on the campus of Lehigh University and at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend on Friday, Oct. 3.
