CENTERVILLE, Mass. (10/2/08) ? Princeton University's Megan Brandeland was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's Cross Country Division I Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Brandeland led Princeton to a first-place finish at the annual HYP (Harvard, Yale, Princeton) cross country meet in New Haven, Conn., on Saturday, Sept. 27. She earned a winning time of 17:45 in the 5K race, setting a new personal best for a 5K, improving by three-tenths of a second.

Princeton dominated the race, taking slots 1-6 to earn the low team score of 15, followed by Harvard with 53 and Yale with 71.
