Men's Cross Country Takes on Two Invites on Oct. 3

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/2/08) ? The Princeton University men's cross country team will compete at both the Paul Short Invitational and the Notre Dame Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3.
Representing the Tigers at Lehigh will be senior Peter Bartlett, juniors Tim Branigan, Jimmy Joy and Elliot Welder, sophomores Predmore and Kyle Soloff, and freshmen Thomas Dialynas, Tyler King, Peter Maag, Joe Stilin and Trevor Van Ackeren. The race is set to start at 11 a.m.
Princeton will run in the blue division race in South Bend, which is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. The Tigers will face some solid competition with seven of the 24 teams being ranked in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll. They include: Michigan (No. 8), Georgetown (No. 9), Providence (No. 19), Florida State (No. 26), Notre Dame (No. 27), Texas A&M (No. 28), New Mexico (No. 29).
Challenging for the top spots will be seniors Michael Maag, Cameron Marantz and Ben Sharkey, juniors Ben Sitler and Ben White, sophomore Rob Speare, and freshmen Max Kaulbach, Brian Leung and Sean Wilson.
