Reinprecht and Sharkey Named Field Hockey All-Americas

Freshmen Katie Reinprecht and Kathleen Sharkey were honored as All-Americas on Monday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Reinprecht was a second-team honoree while Sharkey was named to the third team.
Both were first-team All-Ivy selections as they helped lead Princeton to a 17-3 final record, an Ivy League championship and a berth in the quarterfinal round of the 2008 NCAA tournament. Reinprecht was named the league's Player of the Year, while Sharkey earned Top Rookie honors.
Reinprecht led the team with 43 points on 15 goals and 13 assists. Her 15 goals were tied for the team lead with Sharkey, who added five assists to her point total. The pairs' selection marks the 13th straight season that Princeton has had an All-America selection.
