“Offensively we had a great pace,” Coach Banghart said. “We set each other up really well. We had 10 assists in the first half, which shows we can make shots when they are set up by the team. I thought that was the game we were looking for offensively. I also think that score was a lot closer than the score showed and it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, it matters what we in the locker room think, and that game was a step in the right direction.”
GW worked its way up to a seven-point lead, 10-3, at 14:22, with Jessica Adair scoring six of those 10 points. At the other end of the court, Princeton was getting good looks at the basket but its shots weren't dropping, going 1-for-8 by the first media timeout.Princeton cut the lead to three at 12:10 and was able to take an 18-17 lead at 8:30 with a three-point basket by Micir. The lead was shortlived as the Colonials went on a 6-0 run to go up by seven, getting three points off of free throws. The Colonials started the second half with an 8-0 run to grab a 40-27 lead, its largest lead of the game. Senior Jessica Berry knocked down four points but GW answered back to two jumpers of its own. The Colonials put up eight more baskets to the Tigers two to earn a 14-point lead, 65-51 at 3:44. Princeton looked like it was ready to make a comeback as Berry had a basket from long range and Allgood hit a jumper in the second minute, but from there on out it was all GW as they closed out the game on a 12-0 run.
