Women's Water Polo Splits First Two Games of 2008

PRINCETON -- The Princeton women's water polo team opened the 2008 season on Saturday with a 12-1 win over Siena and an 11-6 loss to San Diego State at DeNunzio Pool. Freshman Tanya Wilcox scored four goals in the two games.
Princeton jumped to a 5-1 lead after one quarter and made its lead 8-1 by the half as it cruised to the win. Junior Claire Jacobson, sophomore Lauren Sabb and freshman Sarah Hutchison added two goals apiece in the win.

In the second game, the Tigers fell to San Diego State by an 11-6 score. Jacobson scored three goals in the loss, while Wilcox, sophomore Lauren Sabb and freshman Sierra Schelegle adding goals. Senior Nataline Kim made 11 saves.
