Women's Open First Varsity Wins Again, Defeats Radcliffe and Cornell

The Princeton women's open first varsity boat remained unbeaten this season with an impressive victory over Radcliffe and Cornell Saturday morning in excellent racing conditions on the Charles River.
Princeton improved to 6-0, finishing the 2,000 meters in 6:45.7, an open water victory over both the hosts (6:51.8) and Cornell (6:57.8).
The Tigers competed in five races Saturday and won three of them. In a close frosh/novice eights competition, the Tiger boat crossed the line in 7:03.5, just one second ahead of Cornell. In a second novice four race, neither Cornell nor Radcliffe was a match for a Princeton boat that won by more than 20 seconds in 8:11.1
Princeton's second varsity eight and varsity four each finished a close second behind host Radcliffe.
The Tigers will host Yale and Tennessee on Lake Carnegie next weekend.
