Women's Cross Country Heads to Pre-Nationals

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/14/09) - The No. 5-ranked Princeton women's cross country team will compete at Pre-Nationals on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Indiana State.
The Tigers will run in the 6,000-meter White Race at 12:55 p.m., with 36 other teams.
Those teams include: Akron, Alabama, No. 17 Arizona State, No. 12 Baylor, Brown, Cal-Berkeley, Cincinnati, Colorado State, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, No. 9 Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, No. 18 Illinois, Illinois State, Jacksonville, Kansas, Loyola (MD), No. 8 Minnesota, Montana, No. 21 New Mexico, Northern Arizona, North Carolina, No. 30 Notre Dame, Ohio State, No. 5 Princeton, No. 15 Syracuse, Texas, UC-Santa Barbara, UNC-Charlotte, Utah State, Wake Forest, No. 1 Washington, Washington State, Western Michigan, Wichita State, William & Mary.
Last year, the Tigers finished in a first-place tie, along with Florida State on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. Liz Costello was the top finisher for Princeton, taking fourth with a time of 20:24. Ashley Higginson and Alex Banfich finished 21st and 22nd, while Reilly Kiernan was 28th. Other Tigers in scoring position are Sarah Cummings and Alexa Glencer who also ran the course last year.
