Women's Cross Country Moves Up in National Rankings

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/8/09) - The Princeton women's cross country team moved up one spot in the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll for the week ending Oct. 4.
The Tigers' second-place finish at the Notre Dame Invitational helped them move from No. 6 to No. 5 this week. The team remains No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic regional rankings, behind Villanova and West Virginia, which sit second and third in the country behind No. 1 Washington.
On the men's side, the Tigers are receiving five votes in the national poll and are third in the Mid-Atlantic regional poll.
The teams will take this weekend off before returning to the outdoors on Saturday, Oct. 17.
