PRINCETON (11/10/09) -- Freshman Michelle Cesan of the Princeton field hockey team was named the Ivy League's Rookie of the Week on Tuesday for the week ending Nov. 8

This marks Cesan's second straight and third overall Rookie of the Week selection this season. Cesan scored three times in Princeton's 7-0 win on Friday night at Penn as Princeton completed a perfect 7-0 Ivy League season. She netted the Tigers' second, fifth and sixth goals in the win to record her second straight three goal performance.

She now has 11 goals and eight assists for 30 points in her freshman season with the Tigers.

Cesan and the Tigers will play this weekend in the NCAA tournament. The team will learn of its opponent at 8 p.m., on Tuesday night when the NCAA announces the tournament field. The selection show can be viewed on ncaa.com or by clicking here.
