Maag Sets Princeton Record in 5,000-Meter Run

PRINCETON, N.J. (4/18/09) ? Senior Michael Maag set a Princeton school record in the 5,000-meter run at the Mt. Sac Relay in Walnut, California on Friday, April 17.
Maag clocked in at 13:41.17, which is the fifth fastest time by an Ivy League runner in the event in Ancient Eight history. His time was well beyond NCAA Regional qualifying standards of 14:12.00.
Additionally, freshmen Brian Leung and Donn Cabral each ran personal bests in the event, finishing in 14:18.33 and 14:25.99, respectively.
The trio will join the rest of their team at the Penn Relays next week in Philadelphia.
