Track and Field Concludes ECAC/IC4A Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. (5/17/09) ? The ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championship came to an end on Sunday afternoon at Weaver Stadium. The Princeton men's team finished 17th while the women were 15th.
Highlighting the final day for the men's team was junior Ian Fox's fourth-place finish in the high jump. Fox matched his season-best clearance of 2.10 meters, the third time this year he has reached NCAA Regional qualifying standards.
Junior Eric Plummer led the Tigers in the shot put, taking 10th with a throw of 16.36 meters. Sophomore George Abyad hit 15.03, while senior Tim Lanni reached 14.20 and freshman Patrick Park threw 14.18.
On the women's side, sophomore Thanithia Billings threw 13.22 in the shot put.
In the finals of the 1500-meter run, freshman Trevor Van Ackeren ran in at 4:00.24 for the men and freshman Alex Banfich finished in 4:30.44 in the women's race.
The men's 4x800 relay team did not finish the race.
