Reinprechts Help United States to Eighth-Place Finish at World Junior Cup

Princeton field hockey players Katie and Julia Reinprecht and their teammates on the USA Women's Junior National Team finished eighth at the 2009 BDO Women's Junior World Cup over the weekend.
Both Reinprechts played in each of the team's games seven games during the two-week long tournament, which was held in Boston on the home field's of Harvard and Boston College. The team went 2-1 in preliminary pool play with wins over India and Belarus, but dropped its four games in the classification rounds to finish eighth. Three of the team's five losses came by just one goal.
Katie Reinprecht scored field goals against England and Korea during the tournament, while Julia added one in the final game against China.
Both Reinprechts and their Princeton teammates return to campus to begin practicing for the upcoming 2009 season next week and open the season on Sept. 5 against Ohio State at Syracuse.
