Hollimon Sets Stadium Record as Princeton Defeats Navy in Track & Field

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (1/9/10) - Sophomore Austin Hollimon set a Wesley A. Brown Field House record in the 400-meter dash as the Princeton men's track and field team defeated Navy in a scored dual, 98-83, winning 12 of the 16 events it entered.
Hollimon ran a winning time of 47.88 to erase the previous mark of 47.99 held by Georgetown's Toby Ulm, set earlier this season.
Senior Joel Karacozoff was second in the weight throw and in the shot put. He threw the weight to 16.91 meters (55-05.75) and the shot to 15.17 meters (49-09.25). Teammate Patrick Park won the shot put reaching 15.75 meters (51-08.25).
Senior Justin Frick won the high jump, clearing 2.09 meters (6-10.25).
Sophomore David Slovenski soared to 4.80 meters (15-09.00) to win the pole vault. Teammate Chad Faulkner cleared 4.50 meters (14-09.00) to place second.
Juniors Dion Lehman and Garner McCloud won their respective events, the long jump and the triple jump. Lehman jumped to 6.92 meters (22-08.50) to win the long jump, while McCloud reached 14.00 meters (45-11.25) in the triple.
The Tigers swept the 60-meter dash out of the six competitors. Sophomore Ivan Charbonneau was first at 7.03, followed by sophomore Kashif Smith at 7.17 and freshman Jason Reagor at 7.20.
Sophomore Ricky Kearney captured a win in the 200, sprinting in at 22.46. Freshman Russell Dinkins was second to Hollimon in the 400, crossing the line at 48.21
Junior Mike Eddy won the 500 with a time of 1:03.76, and classmate Kyle Soloff ran a 2:26.69 in the 1000-meter run to win the event. Junior Reagan Lynch was third in the 1000, at 2:29.64
Sophomore Donn Cabral ran a 4:09.10 mile to win the event, while classmate Max Kaulbach took second in the 3000-meter run, running in at 8:21.20
The group of Dinkins, Eddy, Hollimon and Tom Zozokos won the 4x400 meter relay in 3:19.01, beating out Navy's A and B teams by 4.09 seconds.
The distance medley relay team of Kearney, Hudson Andrews, Collin Plummer and Tony Salvatore was second with a time of 10:32.38.
Princeton will take a week off for finals and will return on Jan. 23, when it hosts the Princeton Invitational at Jadwin Gym.
