PRINCETON, N.J. (10/16/10) - The Princeton women's cross country team took fourth at the Princeton Invitational held on Saturday, Oct. 16 at West Windsor Fields. With its top group finishing seventh at Pre-Nationals the remaining Tigers stood strong on their home course.
A total of 12 teams competed in the 6k race. Iona won the race with a score of 58 followed by Columbia in second place with 80 points.
Senior Brooke Russell paced the Tigers with a 10th place finish covering the course in 22:47. Freshman Katie Skinner was right behind at 22:53.40 to finished 15th overall. Sophomores Greta Feldman and Lauren Zumbach finished back-to-back at 28 and 29 with times of 23:08.90 and 23:11.60. Freshman Clare Gallagher was the final Princeton scorer. Gallagher crossed the line at 23:17.40 to place 33rd.
Nine other Tigers ran the race, with sophomore Abby Hewitt and junior Bernie Da Costa finishing in the top 50 of 168 runners.
