Women's Squash Remains Unbeaten With Sweep Of F&M
November 21, 2010 | Women's Squash
The Princeton women's squash team had an efficient afternoon against Franklin & Marshall, sweeping all 27 games to move to 2-0 on the season.
One day after a 9-0 victory over Columbia, the Tigers maintained their winning ways; they held F&M to three points or fewer in 19 of 27 games, including all three in wins by No. 8 Casey Cortes and No. 9 Daphne Rein-Weston.
Sophomore Julie Cerullo was pushed late at the No. 1 position, but she defeated Morgan Smith 11-3, 11-2, 11-9. Co-captains Jackie Moss and Nikki Sequeira, playing at No. 2 and No. 6, respectively, each dropped less than 10 points total in a pair of victories. Overall, head coach Gail Ramsay got at least two victories from every class, including three from the freshmen. Lexi Saunders played at the highest spot, winning 11-0, 11-5, 11-1 at No. 4.
Princeton will return to Jadwin at 2 p.m. Sunday to take on Cornell.
