Princeton Cross Country Teams Earn Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS (3/9/10) - The Princeton men and women's cross country teams have been honored as US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) All-Academic Teams it was announced by the organization on March 5 and 8.
For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Championship and also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative GPA.
The women's team placed second at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional and finished fifth at the NCAA Championship from the second straight season. Earlier this month, junior Sarah Cummings and sophomore Alex Banfich were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
The men's team placed sixth at regionals and sent junior captain Rob Speare to the NCAA Championship. He was later named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
