PRINCETON, N.J. (5/16/10) - The 2010 ECAC & IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up on Sunday, May 16 on day three at Weaver Stadium.
The Princeton women competed in two events on the final day, the shot put and the 4x800 finals.
Junior Thanithia Billings finished seventh in the shot put with a mark of 14.03 meters. The 4x800 relay team of Greta Feldman, Alexis Mikaelian, Emily Livingston and Mel Newbery took fifth with a time of 8:58.08.
The Tigers finished with 33 team points to take eighth out of 51 teams. Connecticut won the team title with 105 points, the only team with over 100 points. Ivy League squads Columbia and Brown finished second and third, respectively.
The Princeton men had a thrower place during the final day.
Senior Eric Plummer took third in the men's shot put, throwing to 17.38 meters.
Connecticut also won the men's title with 64 points. Princeton was sixth as the top Ivy League team in the final team standings, finishing ahead of eighth-place Brown and 11th-place Cornell out of the 55 teams competing.
The NCAA will announce the final list of those competing in the East Regional on Monday, May 17 at 9 p.m.
