Men's Basketball Class of '10 Travels Europe
August 20, 2010 | Men's Basketball
"We decided to go on the trip because it was essentially the last chance we would be able to go on such a long trip, especially just the three of us. Also, none of us have been to Europe except for me and I've only really been to Poland, where I spent many summers, and to Italy for a couple days last year. It was a great experience to visit all these amazing countries. Most of the time we saw famous buildings and museums in big cities but we also went hiking in the Alps, in the Cinque Terre (on the Italian coast) and to the beach on Mallorca (Spain) and Lake Como (Italy). Usually we stayed in hostels but in places where we stayed three nights or more we rented apartments and cooked our own food. For the most part, we traveled around on trains and met all sorts of other travelers going around Europe. Being so tall, the three of us got lots of stares and questions about what team we played for as well as quite a lot of requests for pictures with random people. Overall, the trip was a great capstone to the best four-year stretch of our lives, allowing us to somewhat extend our Princeton experience for another two months before reaching the real world."
Finish this sentence: Princeton Basketball is...
"Princeton Basketball is about playing hard and smart with other guys who are doing the same in order for the group to win. This lends itself to teamwork, accountability, and leadership qualities that are applicable far beyond the basketball court."
