PRINCETON (8/3/10) -- The Princeton field hockey team has been well represented in international competition this summer as current Tigers Katie and Julia Reinprecht toured Spain and England with the U.S. National Team and Sarah Reinprecht '09 and incoming Tiger Kelsey Byrne are playing at the Pan-American Indoor World Cup Qualifier.
The U.S. team won three of four games against Spain in Valencia last week and will play three games against England in Bisham Abbey. The Americans dropped the first game before winning the final three in Spain.
The Pan-Am Indoor World Cup Qualifier serves to qualify teams for the Indoor World Cup. The event will begin on August 9 in Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
Additionally, four current Tigers were named to the Under-21 National Team. Alyssa Pyros, Julia Reinprecht, Kathleen Sharkey and Michelle Cesan will play for the team when it competes in Asia. The teams were selected recently following the Junior National Training Camp held in mid-July.
