James Madison to Visit Women's Soccer Sunday
September 11, 2010 | Women's Soccer
PRINCETON -- Coming off of a 1-0 overtime win at Hartford Friday night, the Princeton women's soccer team will face James Madison in its fourth game of the season Sunday at noon on Myslik Field at Roberts Stadium.
Live stats and live video will be available for Sunday's game.
Princeton (2-1) has won back-to-back games after a season-opening loss at No. 24 Rutgers a week ago, while James Madison (3-2) will come to Princeton looking to rebound from a 1-0 loss against No. 18 Georgetown Friday night. It will be the Dukes' first game this season outside the state of Virginia. The teams have not met since 1996 and have faced each other only twice, with James Madison winning both.
Caitlin Blosser is the Tigers' leading point scorer after three assists and a goal in the team's last two games. Blosser assisted on all three goals in the Tigers' 3-1 win over Seton Hall last Sunday and had the game-winner in Friday night's win at Hartford. Friday's game also featured the first full game in goal for sophomore Kristin Watson, who made the save on both of Hartford's shots on goal and has not allowed a score in 155 minutes of action over the three games this season.
All five of James Madison's games have been one-goal contests, with four players splitting the four goals the Dukes have scored this season. Diane Wszalek, a fifth-year senior with an 0.60 goals-against average this season, has played all 450 minutes in goal for JMU and is in her fourth year as the team's starting keeper.
