Women's Cross Country Ranked No. 7 in National Poll

The Princeton women's cross country team is ranked No. 7 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) National Coaches Preseason Poll, it was announced by the organization on August 31.
The Tigers finished fifth in both 2009 and 2008.
Last year's national champion Villanova earned all 12 first-place votes as the unanimous No. 1 pick. Florida State, Washington and Texas Tech were selected 2-3-4 as they finished in 2009. Between the top four and Princeton is Oregon and Duke. In the region, the Tigers are ranked second, where they finished behind Villanova.
The Princeton men's cross country team is receiving votes in the national poll with 32 points, just two shy of making the top 30. Regionally, the squad is ranked No. 3 after a sixth-place finish in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in 2009. Georgetowna and Villanova are ranked No. 1 and 2.
