Sept. 23 TigerCast, presented by PNC Bank: Peter Farrell, Steve Verbit
September 23, 2010 | Football, Women's Cross Country
With nearly 60 years at Princeton between them, women's cross country head coach Peter Farrell and football associate head coach Steve Verbit are two of the top veterans in the Tiger athletic department. They joined the latest edition of TigerCast to discuss their respective seasons.
Farrell has once again led Princeton into the national Top 10 and is the four-time reigning Ivy League Heptagonal champion. While 2010 von Kienbusch winner Liz Costello, the three-time Heptagonal individual champion, graduated last summer, there is still plenty of returning talent for Princeton. Farrell talks about the team and its goals for both the Ivy League and the national scene during TigerCast.
Verbit is in his 26th season and his first as the associate head coach at Princeton. He guides a defensive line with several experienced returners, including senior Matt Boyer, junior Mike Catapano and sophomore Caraun Reid. Verbit looks back at the season opener against Lehigh and previews another tough Patriot League opponent, Lafayette.
