Cabral Earns Two Athlete of the Week Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/5/11) - Senior Donn Cabral of the Princeton men's cross country team has earned two athlete of the week awards for the week ending Oct. 2.
Cabral was named the ECAC Division I Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week and the Hepstrack.com Male Athlete of the Week.
Cabral was runner-up at the Notre Dame Invitational with a time of 24:00, just one second behind BYU's Miles Batty. His performance helped the Tigers to a third-place showing in the 25-team field, which included five nationally-ranked teams. Princeton finished one place ahead of No. 3-ranked Stanford.
Additionally, freshman Sam Pons was named the Hepstrack.com Rookie of the Week. Pons was the first freshman altogether across the line at the Notre Dame Invitational. He finished 25th overall in 24:44.
