Stilin & Men's Cross Country Win IC4A Championship

BRONX, N.Y. (11/19/11) - Senior Joe Stilin won the individual title and the Princeton men's cross country team won the team title at 2011 IC4A Championship, the 103rd running of the event in Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Princeton's five scorers all finished in the top 20 in a race of 154 runners. The Tigers had an average time of 25:16.40, 16 seconds better than the next fastest team.
Stilin clocked in a 24:47 on the 5-mile course, four seconds ahead of the second-place runner. Junior Michael Franklin was seventh with a time of 25:17 and sophomore Jonathan Vitez was 11th at 25:24. Sophomore Michael Williams and senior Thomas Dialynas both had times of 25:27 to finish 15th and 16th respectively.
Princeton won the race with a score of 50, 71 points better than the second-place team Albany that collected 121 points. La Salle was third with 145.
The win gives the Tigers great motivation as Princeton runs in the NCAA Championships on Monday, Nov. 21.
