Hartwick's Fast Start Dooms Women's Water Polo in 12-6 Loss

Hartwick scored five unanswered goals in the opening quarter and Princeton could get no closer than three goals on two occasions in the third quarter before Hartwick stretched the lead out over the final frame.
Brittany Zwirner put Princeton on the scoreboard in the second quarter to make the score 5-1 and quick goals from Zwirner in the third quarter put Princeton within three goals in the third. Zwirner had four goals in the game to lead Princeton while Sarah Hutchison and Julie Phillips added goals in the loss.
Kristen Ward took the loss allowing five goals on seven shots in the first quarter. Grace du Pont made six saves over the final three quarters.
Princeton is now 6-4 this season. The Tigers travel to California next weekend for Spring Break and open next weekend at the San Diego State Invitational.
