Men's Track & Field Completes Final Meet Before Heps

EWING, N.J. (4/30/11) - The Princeton men's track & field team competed at The College of New Jersey Lions Invitational on Saturday, April 30 in the final tune-up before the Ivy League Heptagonal.
Freshman Jake Taylor earned two top-five finishes in the throws. He was the runner-up out of 21 throwers in the shot put with a mark of 14.65 meters (48-0.75). Taylor threw to 42.20 (138-05) in the hammer throw to place fifth out of 19.
In the javelin, freshman Brad Pelisek threw to 51.28 (168-03) to finish eighth and in the pole vault freshman Evan Saitta cleared 4.20 (13-9.25) to take sixth.
Senior Ivan Charbonneau crossed the tape in 10.92 in the 100 to finish fifth out of 33. It was his best time in the 100 this season.
Junior Nilan Schnure was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles at 55.47 and sophomore Richard Sheldon ran 15.09 in the 110-meter hurdles for a seventh-place finish.
The Tigers will try for the rare Ivy League trifecta at Yale next weekend.
