Cabral and Owens Earn HepsTrack Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. (9/15/11) - Princeton men's cross country team has earned the first HepsTrack Athlete of the Week honors, with senior Donn Cabral capturing the first weekly award of the 2011 season. Freshman Eddie Owens shares the Rookie of the Week award.
Cabral opened the season winning the Fordham Fiasco. He covered the five-mile course in 25:30.37 beating 213 competitors at Van Cortlandt Park. His time was 12 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Owens finished second in the race at 25:42.43 in his first collegiate race.
The Tigers will next compete on Sept. 30 at the Paul Short Run and the Notre Dame Invitational.
