Women's XC Back in Action This Friday

Princeton will race in the Blue Race on the Notre Dame Golf Course. The 5k race is set to start at 4:15 p.m.
The Tigers will compete in the Brown Race at Paul Short. The 6k race is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., on the Goodman campus.
Princeton finished seventh of 24 in the Blue Race at Notre Dame last season. Alex Banfich paced the Tigers with a fourth-place finish of 16:29. Five other runners finished in less than 19 minutes. Alexis Mikaelian and Marisa Cummings were scorers with times of 17:54 and 17:59.
At Lehigh, the Tigers placed second in the Brown Race that featured 41 teams. Princeton had an average time of 22:44. Then freshman Clare Gallagher was the top Tiger across the line, placing eighth overall at 22:08.
Princeton is ranked 22nd in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll for the week of Sept. 27. There was some major movement in the women's poll this week with two teams jumping into the top 20 that were receiving votes last week. The Tigers moved into third place in the Mid-Atlantic Region ahead of Penn State. Georgetown and Villanova remain 1-2.
