August 24, 2012 | Women's Soccer
Princeton's women's soccer team's preseason practice is underway as the Tigers are together for two weeks leading up to the season-opening match against Wake Forest on Aug. 31, and TigerCam stopped by Roberts Stadium to visit.
Princeton will open the season by hosting a four-team invitational, with Colgate and Hofstra meeting at 5 p.m. on Aug. 31 at Roberts Stadium followed by the Princeton-Wake Forest match. The Demon Deacons were an NCAA College Cup semifinalist a year ago and are ranked No. 7 in the nation in the Aug. 21 NSCAA/Continental Tire poll.
Princeton will then face Colgate on Sunday, Sept. 2 before bringing Saint Joseph's (Sept. 7) and Temple (Sept. 9) to town. The Tigers then head to California for mid-September games against No. 4 UCLA and UC Irvine.
