WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (1/11/14) - Senior Scott Rushton was the runner-up in the shot put at the Monmouth Blue-White Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Rushton threw to 16.88 (55-4.75) on his fourth attempt to take second. Four of his six throws would have earned him a second-place finish.
Freshman Jared Bell was ffith with a season-best throw of 15.95 (52-4), hitting the mark on his third attempt.
Princeton will pause for semester exams and return to competition on Saturday, Jan. 25 when it hosts the Tiger Open.
