Volleyball Looks For Strong Finish In Trip To Yale, Brown
November 13, 2014 | Women's Volleyball
The Princeton women's volleyball team (13-9, 8-4 Ivy) remains mathematically alive in the chase for a share of the 2014 Ivy League championship, but five matches would all have to go Princeton's way for the dream to become reality. Instead, head coach Sabrina King is looking towards a strong finish for her Class of 2014 and a springboard for the rest of her young team into an exciting future.

EYE ON THE TIGERS
The final two matches of the 2014 Ivy League women's volleyball season will both be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network this weekend. You can also follow live stats for both by using the links in the chart above.
WHAT'S AT STAKE
Princeton can finish anywhere from a tie for first place to a tie for fourth place this weekend. The Tigers currently enter the weekend with a 10-4 Ivy League mark, two matches behind both Yale and Harvard, and two matches ahead of Brown. To share the Ivy League title, Princeton would need to sweep its weekend, have Yale lose to Penn Saturday, and have Harvard lose a home pair to both Cornell and Columbia. To maintain third place, the Tigers need at least one win this weekend, or a Brown loss to Penn Friday night.
A PERFECT 10
Junior Kendall Peterkin needs two kills this weekend to move into the all-time Princeton Top 10 in single-season kills (398), and she needs four to become the ninth player in program history with at least 400 kills in a single season (head coach Sabrina King is the only player to do it twice). She would need 36 kills to move into the single-season Top 5.
IN THE NATION'S SERVICE
Kendall Peterkin also has a chance to finish in the Top 10 nationally in both points/set and kills/set. She currently ranks ninth in the NCAA with 5.3 points per set, and she ranks 12th nationally with 4.6 kills per set.
SET IT UP
Sophomore Lauren Miller leads the Ivy League in assists this season (10.80), and she will see her closest competition Friday night in New Haven. Freshman Kelsey Crawford ranks second in the Ivy League with 10.55 assists per set.
RALLYING CRY
Saturday's Princeton-Brown showdown will be a rematch from a thrilling 21-19 fifth-set Princeton win earlier this season. Brown had three match points in that fifth set, but the Tigers drew even and got back-to-back kills from Nicole Kincade to claim the 3-2 win.
THANK YOU, SENIORS!
This will be the final weekend for the Princeton Class of 2015 (Sarah Hanna, Francie Jenkins, Nicole Kincade, Ginny Willis, Tiana Woolridge). With one win this weekend, the Tigers would assure themselves a Top-3 finish in the Ivy League for the third time in four years. They have also assured themselves their first winning season both overall and in conference play for the first time since 2011.
