| 1972 | In its inaugural season, Wendy Zaharko '75 won the first of her three individual national championships. |
| 1973 | Under head coach Betty Constable, one of the sport's legendary figures, Princeton wins its first of 17 Howe Cup national team championships. |
| 1975 | Wendy Zaharko's last title comes in an all-Princeton final against Emily Goodfellow, the only woman in Princeton history to graduate as a four-time, three-sport letterwinner. |
| 1986 | Demer Holleran '89 wins her first of three national championships. |
| 1989 | Princeton wins its first Ivy League team championship. Demer Holleran '89 defeats teammate Hope MacKay for her final national championship. |
| 1991 | Betty Constable retires with one final Ivy League team championship; Princeton goes 7-0, including a 5-4 home win over Harvard. |
| 1996 | Under second-year head coach Gail Ramsay, Katherine Johnson '97 becomes the first Princeton player to earn Ivy League Player of the Year honors. She would win the national championship the next season. |
| 1998 | Princeton wins its first Ivy League championship under Ramsay, and Julia Beaver '01 wins her first of three straight Ivy League Player of the Year honors. She is also the Ivy Rookie of the Year. |
| 2001 | Julia Beaver defeats Amina Helal to win her third straight national individual championship. |
| 2007 | Princeton posts a perfect season to win both the Ivy League and the Howe Cup team championship. Princeton would go on to win the 2008 and 2009 national championships as well. |
| 2013 | Princeton knocked off both reigning champion Harvard and Yale 5-4 en route to a perfect regular season and the program's sixth Ivy League championship. |
The 150th anniversary of the first intercollegiate athletic event in Princeton University history will be Nov. 22, 2014, which will be 150 years to the day that Princeton defeated Williams 27-16 in a baseball game. As part of the 150th celebration, Princeton will be commemorating the history of each of its 38 varsity teams, in reverse order of the time they became varsity programs.
