NEW YORK, N.Y. (11/22/14) - Junior Michael Sublette is the 2004 IC4A Champion! Three weeks ago Sublette was second at Heps as he was edged in the shoot, but this time it was all Sublette. He finished eight seconds in front of the rest of the field at the 2014 IC4A Cross Country Championships at Van Cortland Park.
Sublette finished the 5-mile course in 24:57.0 to guide the Tigers to a second-place finish. Princeton ran the race without its senior class and earned 72 points, seven out of first place. Columbia took the team award with 65 points.
Freshman Noah Kauppila was the second Tiger across the line at 25:27, as Princeton had six in the top 25. Junior Sam Berger was 18th at 25:34, sophomore William Bertrand was 20th at 25:39 and the final scorer was freshman Garrett O'Toole in 22nd place with a time of 25:47.
