Men's XC Takes on Wisconsin Invite and Hosts Home Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/15/15) - The Princeton men's cross country team takes on the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational as the final tune-up before the Heptagonal Championship on Friday, Oct. 16 in Madison, Wisc. The 8k race is slated for an 11:45 a.m., start.
The rest of the team will stay home and host the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17. For more information on the Invitational click on the link at the top of the article.
The Tigers are ranked No. 27 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) poll. Princeton is one of 18 ranked teams that will compete at Wisconsin including: Syracuse (2), Stanford (4), Iona (5), Virginia (7), Michigan (8), BYU (9), Wisconsin (11), Michigan State (15), Indiana (16), NC State (17), Mississippi (19), UCLA (20), Oklahoma (21), Furman (24), Iowa State (26), Columbia (28) - as well as 10 teams receiving votes: Dartmouth, Florida State, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Providence, Washington, Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Tulsa and Arizona State.
Princeton has competed in the Wisconsin meet four times in the last five years. The Tigers were 23rd last year, 14th in 2012, fifth in 2011 and third in 2010.
At the 2014 Princeton Invitational, the team finished 13th on its home course, West Windsor Fields.
