Women's XC Heads to Wisconsin Invite and Hosts Home Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. (10/15/15) - The Princeton women's cross country team takes on the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational as the final tune-up before the Heptagonal Championship on Friday, Oct. 16 in Madison, Wisc. The 6k race is slated for an 11 a.m., start.
The rest of the team will stay home and host the Princeton Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 17. For more information on the Invitational click on the link at the top of the article.
The Tigers are ranked No. 25 in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) poll. Princeton is one of 20 ranked teams that will compete at Wisconsin including: New Mexico (1), Providence (3), Boise State (6) Iowa State (8), Washington (10), Arkanas (11), NC State (12), Michigan State (13), Wisconsin (14), Syracuse (15), Penn Staet (16), Virginia (17), Notre Dame (18), UNC (19), West Virginia (20), Vanderbilt (21), BYU (22), Minnsota (23), William & Mary (23). Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Indiana, and Northern Arizona will also compete and are all teams receiving votes in the national poll.
Princeton has competed in the Wisconsin in 2012 and 2011, placing 25th both years. The last two years, the Tigers have been at Pre-Nats. They finished sixth in 2014 and 10th in 2013.
Last year at the Princeton Invitational, the women took sixth in the championship race and third in the open race.
