Lussi, Asom Earn National Rankings From Top Drawer Soccer
October 16, 2015 | Women's Soccer
TopDrawerSoccer.com had junior Tyler Lussi as the No. 50 player in the nation and Mimi Asom as the No. 13 freshman in the nation in their midseason rankings.
Each player was the top Ivy Leaguer on the list.
Lussi has 10 goals this season, the third straight year she's scored 10 or more, and has 38 on her career, good for fourth in program history with more than a season still to play. Asom has eight goals this year and is angling for one of the top scoring seasons in program history. Lussi had 10 as a freshman two years ago and Linda DeBoer '86 had 12 in 1982, the most for a freshman in program history.
Lussi and Asom have helped lead Princeton to a 10-3 overall record and a 3-0 mark in the Ivy League heading into Saturday's 7 p.m. visit from Columbia at Roberts Stadium. The team's current eight-game winning streak is its longest since 2012.
