ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The 12th-ranked Princeton University men's water polo team improved to 13-4 on the season with a pair of wins over Gannon and Navy.
Cruising past Gannon, 16-10, to open the day, the Tigers dispatched of the host Midshipmen in the nightcap, 12-8. Princeton returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 25 against George Washington. Game time at DeNunzio Pool is set for 1 p.m.

Jumping out to an early lead, the Tigers built an 8-4 cushion in the first quarter. Holding onto a 12-7 margin at the intermission, Princeton accounted for four of the six goals in the third period to put the game out of reach.
Thomas Nelson found the back of the opposing net on four of his six shots, while Matt Payne had three goals, two steals, and two blocks. Ryan Wilson and Jovan Jeremic each had two goals while combining for five assists, and three blocks. Jamie Kuprenas, Curtis Fink, Bradley Wachtell, Ryan Hammarskjold, and Eric Bowen had the rest of the Tigers' 16 goals.
Making his second career start, Ryan Melosini finished with 11 saves. Turning away four shots in the first half, Melosini made five saves in the third quarter before tacking on two more in the final frame.

Knotted 5-5 at the intermission, the Tigers accounted for four of the five goals in the third quarter. Holding a 3-2 scoring edge in the final frame, Princeton secured a four-goal margin of victory.
Ryan Wilson paved the way for the Tigers with five goals while also picking up two assists and two steals. Turning in a hat-trick, Jordan Colina was 2-0 on sprints. Thomas Nelson, Jamie Kuprenas, Jovan Jeremic, and Connor McGoldrick also got on the board with Jeremic collecting four blocks.
Playing all 32 minutes, Vojislav Mitrovic finished with 14 saves. Making just one stop over the first eight minutes, Mitrovic recorded six saves in the second period. Turning away four shots in the third, Mitrovic added three more saves in the final quarter.
