Lucey Leads Women's Cross Country at ECACs

BRONX, N.Y. (11/21/15) - While the Princeton women's cross country team was warming up for the 2015 NCAA Championship in Kentucky this morning, seven other members of the team were racing at the 30th annual ECAC Championship in Van Cortlandt Park.
The Tigers finished in eighth place with 175 points in the 5k race.
Freshman Morgan Lucey led the Tigers with a 27th-place finish and a time of 19:14.7. Classmate Laura Hergenrother clocked 19:43.9 for 42nd, while the final three scorers claimed sports 45-46-48. Freshman Taylor Bacon put up a 19:48.5, followed by junior Mary Hui's 19:54.2 and sophomore Sarah Porter's 19:55.8. Freshmen Mim Buscher and Yuzki Oey were the No. 6 & 7 Tigers running 20:10 and 20:25.3, respectively.
Columbia, who is not racing at the NCAA Championships today, won the race with 38 points, while Carol Strock of James Madison was the individual champion at 17:42.3.
