PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's track & field team will host the Princeton Invitational on Sunday, Feb. 22 in the squad's final tune-up before the Ivy League Heptagonals.
Eleven varsity programs will join Princeton in Jadwin Gymnasium, including: Delaware, Hood, Millersville, Misericordia, Monmouth, Newmann, NJIT, NYU, Stevens, TCNJ and Towson.
The weight throw and long jump kick off the women's field events at 11 a.m. The trials of the women's 60m hurdles will signal the start of the track events at noon.
LAST YEAR'S MEET
The Tigers claimed wins in four events at last year's Princeton Invitational. Julia Ratcliffe won the weight throw with a toss of 19.01m (62-4.50). Allison Harris was the runner-up in the pole vault, clearing 3.40 (11-1.75).
Charquia Wright claimed the win in the 200m, clocking in at 26.04, while also placing fourth in the 60m dash (7.94). Elisa Steele was second in the 200 at 26.19.
Maria Seykora rose to the top of the podium in the 800m with a time of 2:17.23. Rachel Skokowski was third in the event with a time of 2:18.82. Sara Ronde finished third in the long jump with a leap of 5.39 (17-8.25).
