Women's Track & Field Heads North For Ivy League Heptagonals

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University women's track & field team will head to Harvard University this weekend for the 2015 Ivy League Heptagonals.
Tallying 79 points thanks to four second-place showings, Princeton took fourth at last year's indoor championships. Harvard won the meet with 122 points followed by Dartmouth (102) and Columbia (95).

SPRINTS & HURDLES
Cecilia Barowski has the league's third-fastest mark in the 400m, recording a time of 55.24 at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge Cup. Jasmine Blocker has the conference's seventh fastest time in the 400m, clocking in at 55.72 at the HYP Tri-Meet. Emily Broyles recorded her fastest time of the season in the event (1:00.16) at Princeton's Tri-Meet on Jan. 9.
Joanna Anyanwu posted a top-20 time in the 60m dash thanks to a 7.76 showing at the HYP. Quinn Parker owns a top-20 Ivy time in the 400m (57.42), while Elisa Steele has the 13th-fastest conference time in both the 400m (56.74) and 500m (1:15.67).
Christina Walter owns a top-15 league time in the 60m dash (7.75), while Mattie Baron has competed in the 200m, 300m and 400m for the Tigers this season.
MID-DISTANCE/DISTANCE
Clocking in at 1:12.21 at the Tiger Open, Cecilia Barowski heads into the weekend with the top time in the 500m. She also has the Ivy's best mark in the 800m, having crossed the finish line at the Alex Wilson Invitational in 2:05.00. Barowski also registered a top-15 time in the 1,000m (2:52.18).
Placing seventh in the mile at last year's indoor Heps, Lizzie Bird owns the Ivy's 13th-best time in the 1,000m this season (2:52.14). Rachael Chacko has competed in the 800m, the mile and 3,000m for the Tigers in 2015.
Megan Curham currently owns the league's best time in the 5,000m run, finishing in 16:24.53 at the Meyo Invitational. Also shining at the HYP, Curham has the Ivy's third-fastest time in the 3,000m (9:25.67). At the Princeton Quad, she posted the league's seventh-best time in the mile (4:49.57). Curham competed in the 3,000m and 5,000m runs at last season's Heps, placing second in both events.
A year ago, Emily de La Bruyere finished fourth in the 3,000m and sixth in the mile at indoor Heps. This season, the senior holds a top-15 mark in the 3,000m (9:34.70). Lindsay Eysenbach has a top-10 time in the 5,000m (16:52.17), while also recording a top-20 showing in the 3,000m (9:46.63).
Erika Fluehr has the ninth and 12th-best Ivy times in the 5,000m (16:56.66) and 3,000m (9:32.86), respectively, while Kathryn Fluehr is currently 10th in the conference in both the mile (4:50.13) and 3,000m (9:31.84).
Ashley Forte has competed in the 500m, 600m and 800m runs for the Tigers this season, while Summer Hanson boasts a top-20 time in the 500m (1:16.53). Katie Hanss holds the fifth-fastest time in the mile heading into the indoor championships, posting a mark of 4:48.88 at PSU's Sykes & Sabock Challenge.
Kathryn Little has a pair of top-20 Ivy times in the 3,000m (9:43.18) and 5,000m (16:57.16) this season, while Ally Markovich has a top-20 showing in the mile (4:53.74). Kim Mackay could be a factor in the 500m or 800m, ranking fourth (1:12.74) and seventh (2:10.65) in the league, respectively.
Coming in seventh in the 800m at the 2014 Heps, Meghan McMullin has the 11th-fastest conference time in the 500m this season at 1:15.34. Melinda Renuart posted her best time in the mile at the HYP meet (4:56.32), while turning in her fastest time of the year in the 800m at the Princeton Invitational (2:19.22). Zoe Sims has the eighth-best Ivy time in the 1000m (2:50.52) and the 15th-fastest mark in the 800m (2:12.97).
JUMPS
Last season, Inka Busack placed second in the high jump at the indoor Heptagonals. The junior could once again factor into the scoring this weekend, sitting tied for the second-best mark in the high jump in the Ivy this season at 1.73m.
The runner-up in the pole vault a year ago, Allison Harris has the second-best conference mark in the event in 2015 at 3.85m. Alexandra Lanzafame owns the ninth-best league mark in the triple jump with a leap of 11.57m at the HYP Tri-Meet. Sara Ronde has the third-best mark in the long jump at 5.67m.
THROWS
Last season, Julia Ratcliffe finished second in the weight throw at the indoor Ivy championship. Breaking her own school record earlier this year, Ratcliffe carries the conference's best mark in the event into the weekend with a toss of 19.95m at the New Year's Invitational.
Kennedy O'Dell enters indoor Heps with the eighth-best mark in both the shot put (13.10m) and weight throw (15.88m), while Brielle Rowe has posted the 12th-best mark in the shot put (12.55m) and weight throw (15.16m).
MULTIS
Taylor Morgan carries an Ivy-best and school record score of 3,777 in the indoor pentathlon into this weekend's competition. Placing fourth in the high jump last season, she holds top-10 Ivy marks in the high jump (1.70m) and long jump (5.52m), while also recording top-15 showings in the 60m hurdles (9.07) and shot put (12.50m).
Kerry Krause currently holds the fifth-best Ivy score in the indoor pentathlon at 3484. Placing seventh in the event at last year's indoor Heps, Krause also enters the weekend with top-20 marks in the high jump (1.68m), long jump (5.30m) and 60m hurdles (9.07).
RELAYS
Princeton's DMR posted the league's second-fastest mark in the event this season with a time of 11:25.12 at the Armory Invitational. The 4x800 relay sits tied with Yale for the conference's best time at 8:57.65 (880). The 4x400 relay posted its best time of the year at the HYP Tri-Meet (3:45.79).
