PRINCETON, N.J. – The 10th-ranked Princeton University women's water polo team wrapped up its CWPA weekend with a lopsided 10-2 victory over Notre Dame College at DeNunzio Pool.
Improving to 24-3 on the season, the Tigers are now 7-1 in CWPA play. Princeton returns to action on Saturday, Apr. 18 with a pair of conference match-ups against Harvard and Brown.
Netting all five goals in the first quarter, the Tigers accounted for two of the three scores in the second period to take a 7-1 lead into the intermission. Tallying three of four goals in the second half, the Orange and Black cruised to a seven-goal margin of victory.
Morgan Hallock netted three goals on six attempts, while Kimi Klein had a pair of scores and a block. Chelsea Johnson, Sydney Cheong, Hannah Lapkin, Sydney Saxe and Emily Smith each recorded a tally. Taylor Dunstan had three assists and three steals, while Ashley Hatcher dished out a pair of helpers.
Logging all 32 minutes in net, Helena van Brande finished with eight saves. Notching a pair of stops in the second quarter, van Brande had three saves in both the third and fourth periods.
