Catching Up With New Women's Soccer Coach Sean Driscoll
April 22, 2015 | Women's Soccer
GoPrincetonTigers.com spent a few minutes talking with new women's soccer coach Sean Driscoll about his impressions of the team following spring practice, putting his staff together and what brought him to Princeton.
In the video, linked in the photo above and here, Driscoll discusses the team after getting his initial in-person look at the Tigers on the field during their recent spring practices. The Tigers bring back rising junior Tyler Lussi, whose 28 goals through her first two seasons have her more than halfway to a program record for career goals. Driscoll also discusses blending those who have been around the program, including longtime assistant coach Ron Celestin and Mike Poller, who joined the program last season, with the new, including assistant coach Kelly Boudreau, who came with Driscoll to Princeton from Fairfield.
Princeton brings back six of the seven players who scored goals last season, led by Lussi, whose 18 were the most ever scored by a Princeton player in the regular season. Driscoll also discussed how the team stands between the posts, with starter Darcy Hargadon set to graduate this spring and rising junior Hannah Winner and rising sophomore Gudrun Valdis Jonsdottir back.
