Three Tigers Named to Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 Lists

Three Tigers were named to a pair of Top Drawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 lists, with senior Tyler Lussi named the No. 14 player in the nation overall, sophomore Mimi Asom ranked 75th overall, and freshman Olivia Sheppard at No. 52 among rookies.
Princeton had three of the five Ivy League honors between the two lists. Harvard's Margaret Purce ranked No. 38 among players overall, and Penn's Emily Sands at No. 87.
Lussi, the program's all-time leading goal and point scorer, leads the team with nine goals and 22 points and co-leads the team with four assists this season. Asom is second with five goals and 11 points.Â
Sheppard has co-led Princeton rookie field players in starts with five, alongside Abby Givens. Goalkeeper Natalie Grossi has started all 12 games, and five freshmen in all have started games on a team that returned 10 starters from a last year's Ivy championship lineup.Â
Princeton, at 9-2-1 overall, will return to Ivy League play Saturday night at Columbia in what will be a pivotal game in the league standings. The Lions stand atop the table at 3-0 with nine points and Princeton at 1-1-1 with four points.
