Tigers Claim Two Wins, Will Enter The Holidays With Unblemished Record

The fourth-ranked Princeton women's squash team capped a perfect 2016 portion of its season Sunday with impressive 8-1 wins over both Williams and Middlebury Colleges.
It was the first road test of the season for the Tigers — both matches were held at Williams — and they passed in style. Princeton claimed all eight of its victories over both teams by 3-0 scores, and senior Gabriella Garr dropped only 23 points combined in her two matches.
One of the highlights of the day was the return of sophomore Samantha Chai, who made her debut this season with a 3-0 win over Caroline Hogan at the No. 8 spot against Williams.
Junior Lindsey Scott moved to the No. 1 spot while both All-America honorees Olivia Fiechter and Maria Elena Ubina, and she nearly pulled off one of the most impressive wins in her career against Williams. Scott battled out of a 2-0 hole, and then she pushed Nicole Friedman deep into the fifth before finally falling 18-16.
Princeton will be off through the holidays now, and it will return the weekend of Jan. 14-15 for an Ivy League home weekend against Dartmouth and Harvard.
